This assignment has two parts and assesses learning outcome 1: “How IT facilitates the integration of accounting with other business functions”. Description of the Assessment

A.  which is Coursework 

This part of the assignment is based on ‘the use of technology in accounting’. You are required to write a report of 1000 wordsin which you discuss and reflect on the use of information technology (IT), its impact on modern technology and cloud-based accounting systems on accounting profession.

B. which is Case study on Excel

In this part of the assignment you will be using spreadsheets to accurately enter, analyse and present information so that informed accountancy judgements can be made.

Part (A) Requirement

You should base your discussion and reflection on the recommended reading for the module (not necessarily all). In addition, you must find at least three recent academic journal articles or conference papers published in conference proceedings. These three publications should directly relate to the topic or be useful in supporting the arguments you make in the report.

Generally, if the publication is available via the Brunel Library e-databases (such as EBSCO, ABI/Inform Global, ScienceDirect, Scopus, etc.), it is probably published in an academic journal or conference proceeding. The Brunel Library search facility and Google Scholar can be used to identify potential publications, but please be aware that not all items listed by these sources are research publications. Examples of publications that do not qualify as research publications are books and industry papers. However, you may cite other appropriate material from books, industry papers and websites.
